Tumi Adegoroye, a Nigerian writer and poet based in Canada. She earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University in Sociology & Communication Studies, which has shaped her perspective on the complex web of human experiences.
Her work focuses on love, internal joy, womanhood, culture, culture, race, self-transformation and wellness. She embarked on her poetic journey at the tender age of 14, owning several journals and being the story teller amongst her friends. Over the years, her words have found their way into the hearts of readers. She has been featured in Incite Magazine, and has had the honour of appearing at Toronto's Creative Mornings, where she performed some of her pieces from her poetry book “For Us, The Sensitive”.
Beyond her passion for written words, she leads a dual life as an Operations Analyst at Canada’s leading space company - MDA Space.
Tumi also has a passion for user experience design with both physical and virtual products. She is a creative designer and a job coach holding certificates in User Experience Design, Business Analysis and Tech Career Transformation.
In 2021, she released her debut collection of poems, “For Us, The Sensitive”, which goes into the depths of human emotion and vulnerability.
In 2023, she released “For Us, The Romantic”, her second poetry book, exploring the gentle dance of self-devotion and the complex nature of love.
